Video Conference Auditorium

AVC in close collaboration with our AV manufacturers and local distributors, designed a multi-purpose AV system for a client’s auditorium.

The client’s requirement was to integrate a Cisco video conference codec with multiple projectors, cameras, microphones and audio system. The system needed to be used for local and/or remote presentation with local voice lift. Audience participation was required for Q&A sessions, this needed to be done locally and remotely via video conference system and audio system. The venue has a separate AV control room, with preview display monitors and speakers.

The display system was provided by 2 x High Brightness Panasonic Laser projectors and ceiling recessed Grandview motorised projection screens. The projectors were installed in motorised ceiling-recessed projector lifts.

The back-bone of the signal distribution of HDMI signals was supplied by Alfatron AV over IP decoders and encoders. This included the projectors, cameras and presentation sources.

Multiple PTZ cameras were implemented for various video conference video feeds. The PTZ camera were controlled and managed via a Blackmagic ATEM Mini Pro and Alfatron IP Controller.

The audio playback is provided by 3 x Devialet Phantom I Powered Speakers, with connectivity provided by Audinate’s Dante Audio over IP protocol.

Multiple microphone options have been provided for this space. Beyerdynamic TG500 Wireless microphones were utilised for presenter voice lift and video conference audio. 2 x Catchbox wireless microphones were supplied for audience interaction. The microphones are managed via a Biamp DSP, including echo cancellation and Feedback control.

A basic Crestron control system with 2 button keypad allows for simple powering of the system.
