Frequently Asked Questions
Explore how tailored AV support can fit your systems, sites and operational needs. Specific service commitments are confirmed in your agreement.
What are your guaranteed response times for critical issues?
Response times depend on your chosen SLA tier. For Priority 1 (Critical) issues—such as an active executive meeting disruption or main display failure—our Enterprise package guarantees remote triage within 15 minutes and on-site technician dispatch within 2 hours.
Do you provide loaner equipment while our hardware is being repaired?
Yes. To ensure zero meeting room downtime, our Professional and Enterprise SLAs include access to our managed loaner equipment pool. We install temporary replacement hardware (codecs, touch panels, switchers) while your primary device is under repair or warranty service.
What is considered a "Priority 1" critical incident versus a minor issue?
A Priority 1 (Critical) incident is an issue that completely disables a business-critical space (e.g., total system freeze, complete audio failure during a town hall). Priority 2 (Major) refers to partial degradation with a workaround available, and Priority 3 (Minor) covers non-urgent feature requests, minor configuration adjustments, or general queries.
How do we log and track support tickets?
Tickets can be logged 24/7 via our dedicated client portal, direct support email, or emergency phone desk line. You will receive an automated ticket confirmation along with real-time tracking from initial triage to final resolution.
Do you offer remote monitoring and proactive system management?
Yes. With our integrated Remote Management System (RMS), we proactively monitor room telemetry, system health, offline statuses, and device connectivity to resolve software or configuration glitches before your team even notices them.
Can an SLA be tailored to our business?
Yes. AVC can discuss your meeting spaces, supported technologies, locations and operating priorities before proposing a suitable scope. Coverage and terms are subject to agreement.
How often is preventative maintenance performed?
The maintenance schedule is set according to your systems and agreed SLA scope. AVC will confirm visit frequency and planned activities in your proposal rather than applying a fixed schedule to every client.
What is included in an AVC Service Level Agreement?
An SLA can cover technical support, remote assistance, on-site assistance, preventative maintenance and system upkeep. The exact services, equipment and commitments are agreed in your proposal.
What happens when equipment requires repair?
AVC can assess the fault and advise on appropriate next steps, which may include troubleshooting, a repair recommendation or manufacturer involvement. Repair costs, warranties and temporary equipment arrangements depend on the agreed terms.
Can AVC support an existing AV installation?
Potentially. AVC can review your current audiovisual systems and documentation to determine what support is practical. Any coverage for third-party equipment or legacy systems must be confirmed after assessment.
Which sites and AV technologies can an SLA cover?
Coverage may be considered for boardrooms, meeting spaces and other supported environments across your organisation. AVC will confirm eligible sites and technologies, including any Microsoft Teams Rooms, Zoom Rooms, Crestron, Extron or Q-SYS systems, during scoping.
More Than an Installation. A Long-Term Partnership.
Audio Visual Centre has worked in South African audiovisual integration since 1986, supporting organisations from Johannesburg, Cape Town and Durban. Its work spans the design, supply, installation and integration of AV systems for corporate, commercial, educational and institutional spaces. That experience informs a practical approach to ongoing support: understanding how each room is used, how its technologies work together and what the organisation needs to keep them operational. AVC combines technical expertise with tailored service agreements and preventative maintenance to help clients care for business-critical AV infrastructure beyond installation. Discuss your existing systems and requirements with the team to shape a support arrangement suited to your environment.
